Many stars, nice goals, big emotions and 12,200 enthusiastic spectators
The Paulaner Cup 2015 celebrated a grand final in Regensburg
6:1 won the FC Bayern against the Paulaner Traumelf – and yet there were only winners at the final of the world’s biggest football casting in the Continental Arena Regensburg. The 30 amateur soccer players from Europe, China and the US succeeded over more than 41.000 applicants and fulfilled their dream to play against Bayern München.
And the 21.200 spectators experienced a FCB, which brought stars and high spirits to the final. In addition to captain Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Xabi Alonso, Javier Martinez, Rafinha, Holger Badstuber, and Joshua Kimmich played in Regensburg.
Philipp Lahm opened the scoring in the 16th minute for the record champions, for the Paulaner Dream team Captain Peter Mair scored with a penalty. Players from nine countries had prepared themselves in a two-day training camp for this match and faced the German record champions with great passion. And that was great fun for the many fans of the casting winners and the Upper Palatinate football fans who cheered for the FC Bayern as well for the Paulaner Traumelf.
After two entertaining hours with a colorful supporting program captain Philipp Lahm concluded: "It has been fun as always: We had a very sympathetic opponent, who also played football very well. I'm sure the audience in Regensburg and behind the Television liked the final of the Cup Paulaner very much."
